Girlfriend night.

On this particular night I set off about 4:00 to find something interesting. My first stop was stir crazy. 6 or 7 dollar cover. ~5 dollar domestic bottle. There were ~10 girls out. 5 were locked down with regulars and the others weren't worth staying for. I get that the unattractive ones have to step up and plant themselves until they get a firm no. I get that. But when you're that desperate you have to give me more than a "wanna dance" and lackluster conversation. You're in sales. You can't just lay down a shitty pitch and expect to get anywhere. 20 minutes down the line 'dance?', 'dance?', 'dance?' and no opening in sight to the gems. I'm out. At this point there's nothing worth looking towards but the old hangout spot.

I head over to old faithful to roll the dice. $10 cover tonight at bare necessity. They didn't bother to enforce the drink per hour rule. They normally don't, but tonight I was glad for it. I didn't stay for more than 20 min here either. Mistakenly or not, It was girlfriend night. Almost an even split between girlfriends and dancers. Immediately I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere, but I already paid the cover and I planned for a long evening. I took in the sights. About 10 dancers on the floor here too. 5 were AA (not my cup.) The only 8 was aa. The rest were locked down here too. With the exception of two dancers floating about begging for scraps. This is the only place that's open til 6 in the area so it acts like an after party. Everybody is beyond drunk. No one was getting dances. It was a party atmosphere.Wallets are dry. People are just extending the night from other clubs. Girls are languishing around for the most part. Lesson learned. I think I saw peaches bartending? If it was her, this chick has been around for over 10 years. Wow. This trend where the bartenders are hotter than the dancers needs to stop or I'm going on strike.

I'm going wet my toe in the day shift over at showgirls and stir crazy. Seems like a better shot.
