No frills, but friendly girls!

I was in Knoxville visiting my brother, and as always he wanted to go a strip club, so we went to his favorite, the Emerald. It was worth it!

We arrived about six pm, but there were no girls there yet (the manager/DJ said he gave them until 7 pm). That gave me pause, but we paid the $10 cover and went in. The interior was smallish but clean and the staff was friendly (I had a headache and the barman spotted me some Advil). No alcohol, but reasonably priced sodas, bottled water, etc. There's only one stage, but it's well sized and positioned, with both chairs around the catwalk and tables nearby. The one "VIP" room is a long room with numerous comfortable chairs in it for "couch dances" - meaning you could be getting one with some other dude getting a couch dance a few feet to your left or right. Not ideal, but I've seen worse. No truly private room that I know of, and the "VIP" room that they do have doesn't have a door, just a doorway with a bouncer sitting right outside (he occasionally looked in, but not on every dancer). The club is full nude, but no touching unless the girl touches you (of course) and, as mentioned, no "champagne room" or anything like that.

So far, nothing to write home about, but the girls made up for it! The lap dances are okay (level of interaction is highly dependent on the girl, it seems), but every single girl was friendly and interactive off stage - two of the ones I bought dances from sat with me most of the night - several hours - and we chatted about this and that. There are a few who are clearly just on the hustle, but for the most part, the girls seemed relaxed and unguarded, very genuine and friendly. Southern hospitality, I guess! Several of the girls had excellent pole and/or floor skills, and even the least skillful of them was better than I've seen at a lot of places. Every single one was completely without pubic hair - I don't know if it's club policy or just the current fashion round those parts, but thought I'd mention it. Mostly white girls, but a few African American ones, including a light-skinned girl who went by Duchess who had maybe the most perfect body I've ever seen. The girls run the gamut of style from bleached-blonde beach-babe types to tatted-out, heavily pierced punks, so there's something for everyone. There was at least one couple while I was there, and no one was weird about it.
