Always a fun visit

Every year in recent years I've been in Battle Creek at least once for family reasons and I always make time for a late-night visit to Heartbeats on Friday or Saturday. This time I was in Kalamazoo for a concert on Saturday and found my way to Heartbeats from about 9:30 to 12.

Cover was $5 -- on most previous visits it was waived, probably because I had arrived at 11 or later and the club closes at 2. I would estimate that a dozen girls were working, all white with two or three exceptions. I settled in by the stage and ordered "a pint of Bud Light", which always used to cost $6. This time I paid $6 but the beer glass seemed to hold only about 12 ounces.

On my five previous visits I bought a few $20 lap dances from each of 2-3 dancers until one of them succeeded in getting me off, which has always happened. This time I saw a card on my table advertising blocks of time in 15-minute increment, but it always worked out to $50 per 15 minutes, even if you bought an hour. Since 15 minutes with a dancer would ordinarily cost $80-100, I decided to go for 15-minute VIP dances until my mission was accomplished.
