At 7:00 on a Saturday night, I stumbled across Kahoots while trying to get back to the highway, and decided to check them out. I did so with low expectations. Aside from the early hour, I was well aware of how management had turned their sister club in Vernon from one of the best in the state to one of the worst, all in the space of a year. And I came away with my opinion decidedly mixed.

There were perhaps half a dozen dancers on hand (it was early) – all of them reasonably attractive, with a couple of stunners. Dollar dances, which take place in a floor-level aisle surrounded by a counter, tended to be lengthy and up close, the girls generally getting up on the counter. On the other hand, the range of attitudes was from friendly and personal to about as distant as one could get while writhing naked a foot from your face – the customer could just as easily have been a cardboard cutout. And one girl continued an animated conversation (about how her daughter “doesn’t like this place”) with a customer several seats away while dancing for another. That, guys, is about as impersonal as you can get.

I was offered a VIP dance by an attractive blonde, who then disappeared. No sale there. Then Sophia, one of the better stage dancers and most attractive young ladies, took me back for dance, which turned out to be pretty good, within the bounds of the club’s one-way-contact-only policy. I’d go back to the club for her, although the $30.00/song prices are way out of line with the local market, and one of the [many] things that helped ruin the Vernon branch. I didn’t see the cameras that someone else reported, but there are so many hanging chachtkyes and frufru in the VIP booths that the camera might simply have been hard to find.
