Gold Club SF Fri Night 8pm
Visited The Gold Club in SF on a Fri early evening in May. Got in just before 7pm, cover was $5, goes to $20 afte 7pm weekdays, and on weekends. The club has a classy decor and comfy chairs. I thought the lights were a bit more classy this visit, with some additional VIP table areas in the back area. The main stage light display was displaying quality graphics, behind a tall 20 foot pole in the high ceiling main room.
Two stages were operating, the side Martini stage, and the Main stage. Dancers jiggle and swing to 2 songs, with the 2nd song on main stage topless, usually. I was there about 1.5 hours, and saw a few of the dancers scoot to the very top of the 20 foot pole, make some slow moves, and then usually drop to the bottom, braking in time before the stage. This seems to be the “thing” at this club. It is usually the more petite, lighter, physically fit dancers who can pull this off, and usually it is entertaining. The dancers start at the Martini side stage, then get called up to the main stage. The entertainers were generally attractive, a good variety, typically 6 to 8.
There is a full bar. Music is good, a nice mix of high fidelity rock and rap. DJ is pretty typical, calls out the dancers name. Song time seemed fairly generous. Action at the main stage rail is also typical, with tipping, and dancers working the rail. Lap dance prices are 20 in the main room table, 2 for $60 in the side room, and usually 3 for $100 up in the mezzanine chairs. This is all pretty much the same as before, when I visited about 9 mo ago. There are some TVs for early evening sports. There is a full bar, and the place is popular because you can drink, listen to some music, socialize, order food, and see enough T and A to make a return trip a common occurrence.
