Wednesday afternoon day shift

I was in Paterson for work and had heard about this club (and seen pictures on instagram), so stopped in for a beer.

I was immediately surprised by how small the place was. It had a tiny bar, a tiny stage with one pole behind the bar, and a pool table that took up about a third of the room. That said, it wasn't at all cramped because there were exactly three patrons (myself included), three dancers, and one bartender. Two of the three dancers were friendly - Reina and Pixy, both of whom used to dance at Lookers in Elizabeth. It was Pixy's first day dancing at Hi-Beams. Both danced on stage, and there was zero hustle for tips (though they both wanted drinks instead, which came out to $8 each).

I didn't have much time to spend, so I bought a drink for Reina and Pixy and moved on when Reina asked for her second. There was a sign saying that lap dances were $30, but I didn't inquire and neither of the girls mentioned it. Overall it was a pleasant experience - I might go back on a dayshift sometime to try out the dances; or in the evening when there are more girls around.
