Great Experience, Even in Non-Peak Hours

I recently went to Flight Club for the first time on a Friday afternoon (around 2-3 pm) and had a wonderful time. First, the club is very clean and well maintained. I'm still relatively new to Michigan, but I've seen the inside of a few other clubs (Deja Vu, Bogart's, Bouzakis). This is head-and-shoulders above those experiences. The main stage was clean, well-lit, and had a very sleek vibe. I loved the music selection, which was mostly contemporary pop-dance. The few customers at this hour mostly looked like businessmen (button-down shirts tucked into slacks).

At this time of day, there was no cover charge, although there was a mandatory valet when you pull into the lot for $8. There is free seating at the tables and the bar, or you can pay for booths. I didn't bother paying, so I'm not sure what the booth charge is or whether it has any extra perks. My beers were $10 each, and I bought a Red Bull for a dancer, which was like $14. Because it was so slow, my server even came over and chatted for a while (she was a former dancer who had presumably aged out). Everyone was really friendly!

The setup for the club is a little unorthodox. There were three dancers on stage at a time (two on a main stage and one on a side stage). They were overwhelmingly young, thin, and Caucasian. For my tastes, I'd say a lot of 7-8s. At least one 9+. The on-stage girls did not seem to be the focus, however, as very few customers were near the rail or tipping. Instead, most of the attention was near the bars (one upstairs and one downstairs) where the off-stage dancers were mingling and trying to induce customers into the VIP rooms for a private dance. As a result, there was a lot less traditional dancing on the stage. Most women just leisurely swayed to the music and slowly removed their clothes.
