Spend lots, get little

On my final night of a week's vacation in L.A., I decided to give Skin a try. Checking its reviews, I knew the pricing was on the high end, but many reviews raved about how gorgeous the girls were. I'm willing to pay more to get a better experience, so why not? I got to the club at about 9:45 knowing I'd be on the early side of things, but I don't my a non-busy club. But I was the only one in the place. The bouncer actually called into his walkie-talkie to the DJ to get a girl on stage as he was finishing checking me in at the door. Cover was $20 and you need to buy at least one non-alcohol drink. My coke set me back $8.

I had plenty of ones to audition girls with so went to the stage and had personal stage dances from most of the night's line-up. Some were great, some were so-so. One was actually quite disinterested. I was also unpleasantly surprised to see that these girls were not knock-out beauties. Maybe the show horses had yet to arrive, but for the most part these girls were babysitter nice, but not model gorgeous. About two-thirds of the way through the stage rotation, a couple young bucks entered the building, so that took some of the pressure off of me being the sole tipper at the rail.

Kept tipping through about another half rotation. The private dancing options here are $30 topless, $40 nude, $60 nude bed dance, $200 for five private nude songs and go up from there. That still wasn't freaking my out until I sat back at a table and realized that the songs were short. Being a sole tipper, it didn't register how brief they were. I actually used my phone's stopwatch to time a set of songs....2 minutes each. Ah, so this is their scam, charge customers double the normal rate for songs that are half the length. Doing the math, I was actually ready to leave.
