Union can you say Jacks
I’ve been out of the clubs for awhile, but I’m back. One of the first clubs I decided to visit on my return to the clubs is Union Jacks. I haven’t been here in over 2 years. Union Jacks is a couple minutes away from downtown, you just cross the Burnside Bridge and you’re downtown. Just in case you want to go downtown after visiting Union Jacks.
Union Jacks is a small club. There’s no parking lot from what I saw, so you have to park on the street. I’m pretty sure were spots in front of the entrance to park your bike if you rode a bike. It wouldn’t surprise me, “keep Portland weird” is the motto for Portland.
Anyways back to the club, I arrived a little bit after 9, there was a three buck cover. It’s even smaller inside than it looks outside. I could imagine it gets really crowded on Friday and Saturday nights because of how small it is. I wouldn’t say Union Jacks is a dive, but it’s definitely not upscale. It seemed most of the customers were just drinking at the bar, not focusing on the dancers on stage. Drink prices were pretty normal for Portland. It was maybe like five bucks for a rum and coke. There are two stages, one main stage, and one smaller stage by the entrance. I did notice there was a patio. As far as staff it was dancers, dj, a couple of bartenders and one door guy/bouncer (although he wasn’t peeking in the Lapdance area, or for that matter walking the club area, he just stayed by the entrance collecting the cover). Bathroom wasn’t the greatest, but most Portland strip clubs don’t necessarily have a clean bathroom. The stageshow sets were two song sets.
