I felt like a ghost

I came in on a Wednesday afternoon for a couple dances and maybe an extra. The place was decently busy but not as busy as the last time I came (last summer in the afternoon it was busier and I had a blast!). I walked in, got a drink at the bar, the bartender was very busy and rush, which I don’t blame her. I sat at the bar for 10 mins looking at girls walking back and forth but none approaching me. Most of them just wanted to sit on the couch together and gab. So then decided to move to the stage where there was two other guys sitting with one girl on stage. I locked eyes with the dancer and sat on the opposite side of the stage from the other gentleman. She was talking to them and giving them a show then went back stage. I guess her time had finished. The 2 guys went to the bar and I sat there by myself waiting for the next girl to come out. 5 mins later (seems a lot longer in the moment sitting by yourself) no one had come out yet, so I went back up and sat at the bar. Another 20 mins of slowly drinking and still Noone approached. There was 2 girls talking to other guys, about 4 girls on the couch talking to each other and 1 girl giving dances walking back and forth, and no one on stage. So I decided to approach a girl myself (which I never do). There was one that cane out from the back and was chatting at the bar with a bartender who’s was pretty cute (it looked like her shift just started). I asked her if she could give me a dance when she had a few. She told me that she’d come fine me when she was available. I waited another 10 mins, never saw her again and still no one approached me or a few others so I left.

Not sure what it was about today. I’m not bad looking FYI if that’s what you were thinking the reason could be. And it wasn’t just me there were others who looked more frustrated than me. The girls seemed more interested in talking with each other on the couch with a guy manager (or bouncer idk) than making any money. A complete polar opposite from my visit here last year. Maybe I’ll try this place again sometime but I think I’ll take my money elsewhere for now.
