Getting Better, Still Not There

Went to CC about 9:00 on a Tuesday evening with a HK girl. On our way there, a well-dressed man on the street asked if that is where we were going and said he would get us 241 drinks. I did not recognize him at first, but he used to work security at Hotel Cascadas and recognized us. Eventually I remembered him.

In we go and we recognized another Hong Kong/Hotel Cascadas refugee who is managing the stage. He was one of my favorite waiters at HK, so we know each other fairly well. Had not seen him in about 8 months and rumor had it that he was fired for knocking up one of the HK girls. (Considering that he comes across as a player, I would give that a rumor some credibility.)

Both these guys said the HK management was randomly firing people and that another of my favorite waiters had been fired recently for no apparent reason. I would think that there must have been a reason, because he had been working there for years. In addition to being a good waiter, he participated in some of the odd stage performances, including a hilarious fat Elvis impersonation. Why would management get rid of someone who was pleasing the customers? Lots of one-sided stories.
