I took my first trip up...
I took my first trip up to Bliss yesterday.. Friday afternoon.. got there around 1:30.. expected it to be pretty dead, but I was suprised how many people were in there. Bliss is a medium sized club. As you enter, you'll see a small booth on your right where you'd normally pay cover (no cover in the afternoon), and then to your immediate left the VIP area, which looks like it fills the area behind the bar. It was roped off.. with a sign that read "$10 admission, $20 dances". I didn't notice anyone in there, and I didn't partake while I was there, so I'm not sure if that applied to day shift. Continue forward and you enter the main area.. bar to your left.. seating directly in front of you. Two main stages, neither really in a premiere position, though the one to right is noted as #1 and the one off to the left is #2. There's also another elevated seating area in the back left with a third stage that probably gets used during the really busy times. As it was, it was mainly for overflow while I was there. Pretty much the entire main area was full though, which as I said, did surprise me. The main area isn't really laid out too well, tables and chairs kind of haphazardly placed around, so it can be a chore getting from point A to B. Drink prices were standard strip club fare.. a crown & coke cost me 6 bucks.. coke by itself 3.25.. Looked like they had 2 for 1 on draft & maybe well. There was a friday steak and potato special.. 5.99 I think.. and I actually saw people eating meals. That's a first for me, so maybe that steak ain't so bad.
While I was there, they had about 12-14 girls.. they'd each do doubles on either stage, and then swap stages on the next rotation. Most all the girls were very good looking, and the majority looked like they were enjoying themselves on the stage. Seemed like a noticeable lack of silicon, which was perfectly fine with me. Huge rock hard boobies that don't move and have no character are kind of a turnoff anyway. The dances there are normally $10, but that pricing doesn't start until 8pm per the girl I asked, so its 5 bucks during the day. Quite a bargain if you ask me, considering I didn't see any airdancing going on. They did have something called a mega-dance at one point, where the DJ played a VERY long song (Hotel California) & turned out most all the ambient lighting so you could get more intimate with your dancer. This cost 25 bucks, and I guess was supposedly offset by a drink special right after ($5 bombers). I didn't try this, so I don't know if it was worth a quarter of a C. The only knocks I have on Bliss are on the service from the waitresses which was really slow.. both on bringing you drinks and noticing when you're empty. I saw a couple people heading to the bar rather than wait for them. The dancers didn't seem to circulate enough, only one or two really making the rounds.. and those were the couple I would have passed on. Also another weird annoyance.. they don't really light the stages much at all.. neither one. So the dancer is pretty much doing her thing in the dark. Overall a nice club though, and especially considering the day dance prices. I'm wondering if perhaps it was abnormally crowded, which could explain the slow service (if they were understaffed) and the lack of dancer circulation. I will have to make a 2nd trip.
