Firstly, I DO get what they are trying to do here. Nice idea- Present yourself as a top shelf steak house with all the trimmings and throw in high class topless dancing girls doing their thing. Or are they a strip club with high class dancing girls doing their thing and all the while pitching themselves as a top shelf steak house with all the trimmings...Hmmmmm---They put this place nestled neatly among all the business hotels in the Westshore area to capitalize on all the traveling business guys who want to be in the airport area(and that is a whole lotta business guys). Also happens to be within a mile of Capitol Grille, Fleming's, Sam Selzer and directly across the street from Ruth's Chris. Couple that with the fact that Mon's Venus, 2001, Thee Dollhouse and Crazy Horse are all in that general vicinity- so can't you just see a marketing guy staying up nights thinking he's come up with the greatest idea for a Men's Club since the invention of the lapdance...

I won't say the food is bad because it's not...It's actually pretty good. I won't say the girls are not soft on the eyes because most of them were attractive and personable. Unforunately for Maximm's the food is not as good as Ruth's Chris-not by a long shot and the girls(being topless only) do not provide the type of "personal service" found in most of the other clubs(nude) in the area. They have an interesting concept working there and the owner has a proven track record of success. But it would not surprise me if down the road he gives up the ghost on this particular format and goes back to a more traditional strip club men's club arrangement. The place was not busy last Friday night- but all the high end steak houses in the area had a wait to get in(that's how we ended up here in the first place). I was at both Mons and 2001 following our dinner there and both were packed. Bottom line for me and I think for many others who are looking for fine dining along with some strong naked female talent would be to do what most already do. Skip the Maximm's venture and have you a great steak dinner at Capitol Grille or Ruth's Chris and then head on over to Mon's. Your belly will feel better, your eyes will be soothed and more importantly, your lap will get a workout. Just my 2 cents...
