Not a great daytime spot

I was heading to Pandora's, but I had time to kill and figured I'd check out Deja Vu. It seems.like most of the clubs in town are Deja Vu clubs, which I'm not a huge fan of, but this club has always seemed like the nicest. First thing I did was trip over some furniture. I wear transitions lenses, and this club is so dark inside, the trip is becoming a tradition. There were maybe 2 other customers, and a grand total of 4 dancers. The dancers would sit around on their phones, wait for 3/4 of their first song to play before gracing us with their presence. So the stage was empty almost 50% of the time. As I become a little more experienced, I find myself valuing professionalism more than looks, so they were already turning me off a little. One dude was even sitting at the rail the whole time, laying down $3-4/song, which might not seem like much, but if you calculate that each song lasts 3 minutes, then, fuck, they're still making more than me per hour. Just put in a modicum of effort is all I'm saying. Anyway, one of the girls recognized me from a previous visit, offered me a dance, and I figured I'd get one before leaving, as she was actually one of the hotter dancers I knew that worked there. Without a doubt the only attractive one on this Thursday afternoon. Got the dance, she was very enthusiastic and wanted to keep me, but I had an agenda and I needed to be headed to Pandora's. Thought about checking out Rick's on the way, since it's free entrance with your Deja Vu receipt, but there were only two cars in the parking lot and I remembered how fucking depressing that place was last time I went in the day. Anyway, it was an enlightening 30 minutes of time spent, and I'm really glad you can hop between locations in Lake City.
