Why is this place even here?

When I walked in I thought the place was closed. There was one old guy that I was never really able to figure out if he worked there or was a regular, the bartender (who was friendly and greeted me right away), and a dancer. One dancer. The bartender even said "This is my dancer....." and pointed to the "stage" which is little more than a raised step up platform. I grabbed a beer and sat down in the plastic lawn chairs to give the place a chance. The old guy walked up to the platform where the dance was, completely blocking any view to be had, and stood there for two songs. He tipped about three bucks at the end of his standing there when the bartender asked him if he was on break. Still not sure if he worked there or was on break from another place. After about 6-7 songs of the same dance doing the same routine, I summed up there was nothing else to do and left. I couldn't help but wonder why everyone was there. No one was spending money, no one was earning money. It was like a really sad hang out. Needless to say I wouldn;t go back on a week night. Maybe this place really gets jammin' on the weekends with TWO DANCERS!!!! I can hardly wait to see.....
