I happen to be in Vancouver for work, and had some time to kill on a Saturday night, so took a drive out to New West to visit the famed Paramount. I've read many reviews here about Vancouver clubs, and picked Paramount based on the C$25 / dance price (all $ henceforth are Canadian) and decent reviews. Your money, especially if you're from the US, will certainly go a little further here.

Got some free parking behind the club at around 8 PM, and walked in, and paid the $12 cover to the friendly bouncer. Then walked into what looks like an old theater or cinema, sat down, and watched the show. Waitress came for the mandatory drink, and I got a bottle of water for $5.50 (standard cost for all drinks). There were two stages, but only one was in use most of the time. Three-song sets, mostly to thumping R&B, and the dancers usually take their bra off during the second song, and everything off during the third.

Dancers were mostly white, with a few south east Asians in the mix. All were quite fit (except one Asian chick who was chubby but sensual). The ones I saw on stage ranged 6-8, no one really stunning, but all were pleasurable to watch. The three-set songs allow them to also get nice and friendly with the PLs sitting by the rails -- they actually come down from the stage sometimes. And seeing PLs give them plastic $5 bills was just a bit... weird.
