Lively for a weeknight
One of my favorite bands wasn't coming anywhere near me so I used some air miles to hit up Austin for BBQ, music and 6th Street. I had never checked out any area strip clubs, so I decided to hit up Yellow Rose. Admittedly, part of the draw was the club's connection to the Tucker Max book/movie "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell." While the club was a bit of a drive from downtown, I was glad to find that the parking lot was well-lit - can't say that for all clubs. I was impressed that Yellow Rose had a solid crowd, lively atmosphere at 11 pm/midnight on a weeknight. Plenty of good options to just chill, watch the stage, hang out. I was approached by dancers, but the hustle wasn't as intense as Vegas or Miami. I got a few good lappers, particularly from a hippie-ish slender white girl with dreadlocks. All the dances I got were out in the open, so no extras, but good contact. I'll probably go back next time I'm in Austin.
