Back To The Gold Club

I got dinner with a couple of friends in the city and we ended up at the Gold Club after too many drinks at the bars. I've reviewed the club before and nothing has changed about the location (in a decently trafficked area of the city and safe enough), the club itself (actually pretty nice inside), the prices (trends higher since it's in the city), and the girls (probably has the hottest girls of any club in SF but nothing more than eye candy with maybe a little touching here and there).

The thing that's different is that I normally don't go on the weekends since it's always pretty packed and more a scene and tonight just reinforced why I avoid the Friday/Saturday crowd at all costs. It was jam packed and we basically spent half the night trying to get a table to just sit down and not have to stand by the bar the entire time. It made it less than enjoyable and didn't help the cause of trying to watch the stage or engage with any of the girls. The other thing that was terrible was that they made you pay an extra $20 to take a girl upstairs to the VIP area when I've not had to do that on the weekdays.

Anyway, I like the club and it's the best in the city but I'd just say avoid going on Friday/Saturday nights.
