Not As Bad As Others Say, Just Have To Have Right Expectations

Ouch, so many neg reviews. I get it, but I also think this places gets too bad of a rap. So the area is actually a pretty cool old school neighborhood. They could probably use a couple more lights at night, so it's going to look kinda dark driving in, but I actually think it's a pretty cool area. Very easy parking space just north of the club. This is a cookie cutter Vu club, which I am fine with. Classic store up front, classic 70s style entrance, classic hallway to stage area. It's a bit smaller than other clubs, but that can still work. Were there a couple of fights, yes, but the bouncers took care of it easily.

There is the usual Vu requirement of a drink and they do the dancer stage walk every half hour. I waited so I could see the entire lineup. Overall there was a lot of variance, but with the lineup, I found the prettiest dancer and went to the back. The entire back room is the size of a large walk-in closet. They have regular booths that are open though relatively private and the corners of the closet are closed off VIPs with less rules. That said, rules are what you would expect, so don't go in expecting Vegas or Providence rules.

Its all about expectations. Overall, I actually had a good time. I've seen awful places, and this is a really decent and solid Vu experience. If you think the Vu experience sucks, then this is right in line, but I'm fine with their style. If you're in the area, it's totally fine. Just don't go in expecting to be blown away (in every possible way).
