Passing Through

Passing through Springfield, so I thought I'd check out the local fare. After checking out the reviews and proximity to my hotel, selected this as my first stop. To begin with there are some big differences between the clubs here and my home town of Memphis. Foremost is they close at 1:30AM, which limits your options quite a bit. The Memphis clubs stay open until 6AM on the weekends, which is a huge difference! Next, they had a full bar, which is also foreign. Only beer and wine coolers at the Memphis clubs, but you can bring in your own bottles for a fee.

On to actual thoughts about the club... cover was only $5, which is not bad at all. I'm used to paying at least $15, which usually includes a drink ticket or 2. The club itself was pretty small. The stage was literally only about 6x10, very tiny. The "VIP" area was basically 3 booths at one end of the club that had sheer curtains. No real privacy at all. The talent was average at best. Nothing about this club really impressed me at all. Had the requisite 3 beers and was out the door.
