Nickeled & Dimed, but worth the time
One of the Michigan Avenue Dearborn clubs, BT's is solidly "upper middle tier" in terms of club ambience but seems to have pretensions of being slightly more upscale than it actually is.
Valet is your only parking option, which is fine given the relatively cramped lot (BT's hits your wallet at every opportunity, so if $7 is that big a deal, take your broke ass home). In "primetime" cover is another $10, and if you want a booth or to be shown a table expect to shell out more to the guys in suits for the supposed privilege. I opted for a seat at the bar, so the only financial hardship was the typically overpriced beer (side note: for a club with upscale aspirations, the beverage selection is surprisingly limited).
The bar actually runs the full length of the room, with a good view of the large stage in the center. The VIP area bucks the usual trend by being at the front side of the room, table and booth seating filling out the rest of the space. Lighting is bright by club standards, which is fine since it makes it less likely you'll meet a two-face on a trip to VIP.
