More hype than substance

It has been a long time since I last visited Tootsies, but I was in the area with time on my hands so I decided to stop in and see if I had been missing anything. Physically, the facility is unmatched. The large open spaces, good ventilation, and safe, free parking give Tootsies a very mainstream vibe. It’s the type of place I’d feel comfortable bringing clients or mixed company. If you were in Miami and could only visit one so fla club, Tootsies would likely be your best bet.

Having said that, the talent this particular Friday afternoon was uninspired, and I found myself bored. I stood at one of the high tops at the back of the main room near the girls dressing room. From this vantage point I could watch the group of young girls clustered around the tables across the aisle from me. They seemed more interested in chatting among themselves and playing on their phones than looking for dances. The girls on stage were simply not attractive enough to keep my interest. For the duration of 2 beers (with very slow service), I just wasn’t feeling it and had about decided to leave.

Finally, a very attractive dancer joined the group hanging out in front of me and so I decided I needed to separate this cute one from the herd and see what’s doing.
