Brass Rail on a Sunday night
A buddy and I went in late Sunday night - we are both visiting Toronto on business. I always hear the Brass Rail is THE place to go to in Toronto, it's fine - we had a good time that night, but I wouldn't call it the best club in TO based on the few visits I've had here over the years. Having said that, we did have a good time. We made it 10ft into the place before the welcoming SWAT team intercepted us at the bar. I'm not usually a fan of the girls lurking at the front of clubs to be first on the new 'suckers / guests' that just arrived. But ... she was pretty, seemed nice and definitely friendly - I needed a drink, what could be the harm.
The Brass rail is not that big of a club, long and narrow. Private space for LD at the front (no cost to access) and then a private area at the back they advertise has the 'preferred' private area that has a $10 one time fee to access ... and yet it's small, tightly packed seats for a LD - you will be tripping over people to get to an available seat, I haven't figured out what the appeal is unless it's simply that they don't monitor the girls back there. Mileage is very good and really just depends on your girl and how good your chemistry is with her.
My new friend and I had a good time back there with good two way contact. She may have been nice but she was a great hustle, of course we lost track of songs and time ... so she played it safe and guessed high compared to what I was thinking. I didn't question her, we had a great time and when adding a tip it would have been close. She stay glued to me the rest of the evening as I tried to keep my very intoxicated friend out of trouble ... hence I prefer going to clubs alone. While I like making friends, I never like it when a girl stays glued to you like she owns you. Brass rail was good, but not any better or worse than any other club. It's over rated in my opinion ... but I'll be back if downtown ...
