Best Michigan Club Outside of Metro Detroit

Angels is located in an somewhat isolated area just to the east of Kalamazoo. Parking is ample and safe and the building is well designed and generally generally well maintained. I've stopped by the club once during the afternoon and once during the evening over the past month, so this review is a composite of my two visits.

Drinks are reasonable priced and the service, especially the afternoon bartender, Becky, was quite good. The dancers are generally attractive, with a range of body types. Some were a bit curvy but none were fat. Most of the afternoon dancers were white, whereas the evening shift had a few more women of color on the shift. Stage performances ranged from pretty energetic to uninspired. Only a few people tip during the stage performances so many of the dancers walk around the club after their stage performance to offer a $1 mini dance to the patrons.

The dancers tend to hang with regulars so you might need to ask a dancer for a private dance when you tip on stage or during the post-stage #1 mini-dances. Private dances are performed in the cubicle area for $20 per song. Most of the songs were full length but I did notice that the DJ cut some of the longer songs prior to the end. There is three or four larger VIP areas that are also semi private (bead curtained entry way) that rent on a time basis, from 15 minutes to 60 minutes. I didn't see much use of the larger VIP areas during my visit so it must not add significant value above and beyond the smaller lap dance cubicles. All the dance cubicles, including the VIP areas, have cameras mounted in the ceiling; bummer! Nevertheless, mileage during the lap dances varied quite a bit. Some of the dancers were pretty "shy," but most of the dancers had no reservations about limited two way touching, with the kitty being clearly off limits. To my knowledge this is not an extras club but you can still have a pretty good time with a good selection of attractive women if your expectations are reasonable.
