New management, trying to make it what its not

I went through a period around this time last year where I went to this club a few times to give it a fair tryout. The net result was that I found it to not really be better than any of the other clubs around the area in any way. The one cutie I enjoyed there got fired, so I kinda stopped going in for while.

So, Sunday afternoon w/ no Dolphins game on and I had some time to kill and decided to pop in to 4Play after having talked to a dancer I had fun with at Porthole who said she sometimes dances here too. The location is the same, its in a low end shopping center similar to PHP up the street. There is ample parking and signage. I didn't pay to park or enter at around 6:30, as far as I know parking is always free but after 7pm they have a 10 cover ($5 more than everyplace else in town during the week.) Inside, they're in the middle of a remodel. The ceiling tiles are missing, they've pulled out the stupid "make it rain" machine, the bar stools and chairs have all been replaced, there is plastic over the walls, the old lap dance area is gone.

The main layout is still the same. There is a bar that takes up about half the space, there is a small stage, maybe 5x5 and only a foot or so raised of the floor and with one side backed up against the bar. There are a few tables with benches and a few tables with chairs. The new chairs allow for much easier movement around the club. The manager mentioned that they've acquired the space next door and will be expanding. Drink prices basically doubled, domestics were $3 last time I was here and cocktails around $5 or 6. This time, I paid $6 per beer and the one cocktail I got was $13. Its only a few bucks, but for a club that really doesn't have anything going for it overcharging the market like that isn't going to help bring me back.
