Pleasantly Surprised

Stopped in to CW’s around 12:30 Thursday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised all around. Road construction is still an issue but it’s getting better. I had no trouble finding the place. As expected, the parking lot was tiny and around back. I entered through the back door – I don’t know if the front is even used. The bar was mostly clean and the décor seems to revolve around motorcycle enthusiasts, though no one was wearing colors while I was there. I felt perfectly comfortable, zero thug element. CCTV in the parking lot is visible form the bar, so you can watch your car.

The bar is narrow with a pool table towards the street and a VIP closet near the back door. The dressing room was near the back door and was wide open when I walked by. It’s tiny and apparently uninsulated, so the girls didn’t hang out in there much. Not sure if that was planned, but it works. I didn’t visit the restrooms. The bar is along one wall and the usual small tables opposite. Tables and chairs seems in good repair. Bartender was middle aged and friendly enough without being chatty. Bottled water was $2.50. Bar seemed cigarette friendly, I saw dancers and patrons both smoking openly.

There were 4 customers there, including myself. During my hour-long visit two left and three more came in. Fairly brisk for a Thursday afternoon, all customers were white and middle-aged or older. As for entertainment, there were 4 dancers, all white, and all surprisingly pretty (especially when compared to Dreamer Girls a few blocks down). I was there soon after open, so there was the usual chit-chat as the girls settled in for their shift. Most of the talk revolved around the upcoming holiday party. I had to wait a little longer than I’d like to catch the attention of dancers, but at least they weren’t pushy at all. No dancer drink hustle.
