You would never expect to find...

You would never expect to find a Vegas size club like this in a backwater like Des Moines, but here it is. 4 stories tall, 3 level stage & it probably holds a 1,000 guys & they stand in line to get in Friday & Saturday nites. They just remodeled & it is nice & clean, but certainly not fancy. $10 to $15 cover. BYOB -- but no liquor, beer & wine only.

The club is full of 8's & 9's and there are more than a few dymes walking around. My complaint is that they spend a lot of time upstairs in their dressing room. When it is busy, they can make a lot of money on stage, so they don't socialize with customers or work very hard at getting dances. Also a lot of the dancers seem to be roll'n. (Note to dancers: if you are fine & you hustle--you could really bank here because the other girls don't hustle! There is money in this club!)

VIP dances are $25. You pay the girl, she keeps $20 & the club gets $5. Dances are topless & full contact & good. They have lots of cameras & mirrors in VIP & the security guy is always at the door, so extras ain't happening here. Also be aware that songs at the Lumberyard are only 2 minutes & 40 seconds!!! At most clubs the songs are about 5 minutes. So dances go quick here. $100 barely gets you 10 minutes. Only time I go is Tuesday, when you get 2-4-1 dances.
