Still a Good Club, but Sugar's has Taken the Crown
Men's Club used to be my preferred Club in San Antonio. It probably still could be, but I need to figure out which of the current lineup I like. My last two visits, one day shift and one night shift, were not great. The way they have the booths facing out now means pretty much everything decent is upstairs now.
First things first. The talent level is down. Significantly down. Business looks slower, which means girls trying to make more with less. Drink prices are still reasonable and the cover is still $5 on dayshift. Think it was $10 cover for nightshift. The company I sat with was good, but I knew in at least one case that the mileage was going to be meet-me-at-bleachers boring but I got dances anyway. There were a couple of import dancers who talked a good game but had contracted GPS so that was really a non-starter.
I’m not going to be too hard on the place because I caught it on a down dayshift and a nightshift when I know that nightshift is going to drive the prices way up. Just hadn’t seen a nightshift in a while so stopped in to see if there was any reason to put this on the rotation at night. Unless you need to club at night, I still prefer dayshift here. No names to drop this time. I’m still going to put Men’s Club as a should see club when in San Antonio, but I think Sugar’s is going to be the headliner on my list for now.
