This Club Probably Needed Multiple Visits. It Got One.
Arrived here on a Sunday in late afternoon. Parking isn’t great here, so I ended up parking in the parking lot next door on the corner. $15 but I kept the keys so I chalked it up to the cost of doing business.
Was staying downtown, so there is this thing called a People Mover that does a loop around downtown and was convenient to my hotel. Problem was it only ran up until midnight unless it was Friday or Saturday. There was a football game on when I walked in, so there were a lot of Lions jerseys walking around and the place was crowded. Felt overcrowded even though there was a lot of open space on main floor. When I was here, apparently the place had recently been busted for something or another so the staff were a little zealous about policing the private dance area. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Sitting up by main stage a little funky because the few tables they had were fenced in by railing. The upstairs around the second floor bar also was a little tight on seating, but it looked like you could make it work if so inclined. If I had gone back, that’s probably where I’d have spent my time. A table opened up and I was able to sit for a few minutes, but nearly lost it because a bartender was having a fit because she undercharged me a dollar for the dancer drink I’d bought. On a typical day that’s a problem if the person who can’t price their own products and not mine, but I’d only been there a few minutes and didn’t want the aggravation of an irate bartender. The dancer drinks were the same price as customer drinks, so that was a plus.
