Whatever
Your options are pretty limited in Charleston, WV (it’s the only strip club in town), so if you have that strip club itch, you might as well scratch it here.
I walked over just before midnight from my hotel a couple of blocks away. The walk was a bit eerie, not because the club is in a bad part of town—it’s not. It’s downtown in the business district. It was eerie because downtown Charleston looks like it’s frozen in time in the 1940s and it was virtually deserted. I passed several restaurants and pubs, but they were all closed. I saw only a couple of cars on the streets and one other pedestrian. I felt like I was walking through an empty movie set.
Elite is in one of the typical low-rise office type buildings on Capital Street, although it looks a bit more run down that most of the buildings. Just past the front door is small lobby and a second interior door. The front door was propped open, so I walked in and pushed on the interior door, but it was locked with a padlock. WTF—the sign said they were open until 3:00 a.m. Then I noticed an opening to the left which led to steep staircase. At the top of the staircase was a small window and another door. Above the window was a sign that said the cover charge was $10, with a $5 discount for military and first responders. This upstairs door was locked also, but it had a doorbell and sign that said ring for entry, which I did.
