As I Suspected

Visited here Wednesday afternoon. One of only two clubs of which I am aware that has a daytime cover. Paid the $7, was asked by the gal who took my money if I wanted the free lunch. I declined, having just eaten before I arrived (more on that later). Walked in through the double door to find my seat.

CC-Tempe is a rather large club by Phoenix standards, with the bar directly to your left as you walk in, a single semi-round stage, multiple tables scattered throughout and then a slightly raised area towards the back of the club. I walked past the other two PLs in the club and picked a table to the front right of the stage, and I settled in to watch the show and see if there had been any improvements to the staff. (And by improvements, I mean dancers with boobs, which seems to be an endangered species at this club.)

Dancers do 2-song sets here, first with their clothes on and on the second they get somewhat or mostly topless. This being a Christies club, when the second song is over, the dancer ending her set "escorts" the next dancer to the center of the stage before leaving for the dressing room and/or parts unknown. After a couple songs, a very friendly and polite waitress comes over to ask my drink selection. She also wants to know if I want the free lunch. I ask what that entails, and she lists off "a cheeseburger, or a Philly Cheesesteak, chicken fingers, Caesar salad" and a couple other items. I still pass, and settle for my Coke. BTW, unlike Hi-Liter or BSC, there is no 2-for-1 drink here, so it is essentially the most expensive place to drink.
