After enjoying a meal and some afternoon eye candy over by the Cheetah, I decided that I wanted to check out the Pink Pony next. Several gents and acquaintances have mentioned this bar numerous times to me even before I drove out to Atlanta, so I wanted to see what the minor hype was about. Even though it was still fresh in the daytime, I haven’t heard anything poor about PP.

DoctorEvil remained a good wing-man for this stop of the day, so if the trip didn’t seem worth it, at least I got to share it with good company. Once we arrived on the lot where the club was relocated, I took a good look at the outer surroundings. The parking lot for this place seemed massive, almost as big as the club itself, though that might be an exaggeration. In front of the building is a small garden where the signature ‘Pony’ statue sits in the center, making it an easy landmark for tourists to snap a photo and make people guess where they’re at. On the side rested the Pink Pony party ‘bus’, although it’s really just the head of a semi truck. Big, bulky, and it doesn’t really blend smoothly with the rest of the lot. You’ve got the actual club, partially painted pink to give it a sweet and inviting atmosphere to club goers, the garden in front of it to bring the same vibe to go with it, and then you just got this big black chunky truck that’s supposedly the business’ party bus you can rent out to transport your party. It just doesn’t look right together, and apparently it hasn’t even been touched in ages, which makes it even more humorous.

The club itself is up a small hill that you take the sidewalk or a set of stairs to go up and enter the building. There was a podium on top of the stairs, so I assume that if it’s night shift, there will be a guy standing there to collect your cover charge right before you walk in. But that wasn’t the case this time around. I don’t even remember if there was a cover charge to pay to go in during the day - but hey, I’m always oblivious to this part of my club goings, since my mindset is always “I don’t care how much it takes, just let me in, dammit!”
