Amateur Night

Was passing through Battle Creek on a Monday night and decided to see what sort of diversions TUSCL might recommend in the area.  Based on reviews it seemed like Vegas Strip and Heart Beats were pretty similar (average clubs, decent girls, and no chance of the extracurriculars found a hundred miles to the east). Noting that Mondays are amateur night at Heart Beats, I decided to check out the local talent.

Entering the club, the overall vibe is decent quality, if a bit tacky.  Layout is pretty spacious and open, although the overuse of mirrors and chrome diamond tread can be a little disorienting at first.  The bar is to the left as you enter, with a low dogbone-shaped stage to the right.  Regular tables and chairs arrayed around the stage, and high-backed booths around the perimeter of the room.  Private dance rooms are tucked into the corners, with curtained doorways.

Drink prices are normal (vs the inflated prices in metro Detroit, where a soda or a beer will run you $6-8). Better yet, there didn't seem to be any drink hustle or inflated prices if you do opt to buy a dancer a drink.
