Visions: a dancer's perspective
I am a dancer, so this is written from the dancer's perspective. Come during the day (morning on Monday) if you want to be hired. Managers will usually start you off during day shift. They ask you to work a set schedule, and you have to work a certain number of weekdays if you want to work a weekend night. They didn't audition me, just looked at me in street clothes and hired me. Day time management is good. The bar itself is very casual, with pool tables. You kind of have to sit at the bar and if you sit there, you have to tip (the DJ often makes announcements to tip the dancers).
Some girls are really hot and others are just OK. Customers expect high mileage, and there are extras, but you can make money without doing them. Just don't be surprised if customers ask for a LOT. I made around $400-$500 for a day shift from 11 am to 7 pm. You have to stay a certain amount of hours on day shift or pay extra to leave early. The club has two U shaped bars that you walk around after your set and shake your butt at customers. There's a pole but it doesn't spin. The locker room is pretty grimy.
Dances are in an open area and cost $30, and private rooms cost $100 to the house and then you negotiate own price. Very good traffic for a day shift and it starts to get really busy around 5-7pm. It's a laid back neighborhood hangout and truly is where the locals go.
