Less Then Exciting Late Afternoon and Early Evening at PHC

This has been my go to club for several years. I had not visited for several months due to travel and work schedule. I stopped in today around 5:00 P.M. and stayed until about 7:45 P.M. I parked with the valet, now $8.00, entered the club, shook hands with the short body builder front door bouncer (who is a nice friendly guy), took a seat at the downstairs bar, and ordered a soft drink. I was surprised to see only about nine-ten customers on the first floor. There were about 4 or 5 regulars upstairs (according to a dancer). I think this is very slow for a Friday or at least what I'm used to seeing on a Friday.

I noticed that Mariah was dancing on the left stage finishing her set. I immediately went over to her, tipped her, and asked her to join me. She smiled and asked where I was sitting. I told her and pointed to my seat at the bar. (I had seen Mariah on a prior visit but did not get a chance to meet her or ask her for a VIP dance - and thought this would be time to do it.) She never came back, but stayed upstairs talking with other dancers until around 6:15 P.M when it was her turn to dance again. This time I tipped her again at the front stage and asked her to join me. Maybe I should have been more clear that I wanted a VIP dance, but again she did not stop by. Maybe she had made enough money already during her shift or she had simply no interest in offering me a dance. Anyway she lost money that she could have had. I will preserve and try once again when I'm there and she is working. Unfortunately, there wasn't another dancer who peaked my interest. I know, I may be too picky, but I've been spoiled with the level of talent that is usually dancing at PHC.

One of the observations that I will make, based on this visit, is that the overall talent is considerably down in terms of 10s, 9s, and 8s that I'm used to seeing at PHC. Frankly, 5 or 6 of the dancers would not have been dancing a couple of years ago - they would not have made the cut. However, that may be due to the fact that a lot of the most beautiful dancers who used to be there are not longer dancing at PHC. Maybe they have retired or went to other clubs. In addition, there was not a plethora of dancers (my guess is 15-20 ish) and that may mean that the club is taking whoever shows up and is decent. I felt sorry for numerous of the dancers who were not getting any business at all from the customers.
