sinclair's Review
I went to Ralph’s Place on a Thursday night at 22:45. The club is in a strip mall, with the only other tenant being Manhattan Pizza. There was a $10 cover charge. Sincweisers were $6.75. There are two bars inside, but only one was being used. There is one main stage with two poles. It has a tip rail surrounding it that is more like a table than a rail. It is about three feet wide and keeps patrons from having any contact with the ladies on stage.
I tried to tip each dancer a $5 bill on stage. I could not reach the stage across the tipping table combined with the space between the table and the stage, so I ended up trying to toss the plastic bills onto the stage. (The DJ tells you not to leave the tips on the table.) A couple times they fell down into the 0.3 meter gap between the tipping table and the stage. This was a ridiculous setup. No wonder almost nobody bothered to tip the stage.
There were five dancers, three staff, and never more than a half dozen customers inside. All of the dancers were from the local area and quite friendly. Since the club was so dead, I had long conversations with several of the dancers. The best looking dancer, Zoey, acted as the DJ and also took a turn dancing in the stage rotation.
