A "Soft" Opening.
If it weren’t for the fact that one of my friends had texted me inviting me out to check out the newly renovated club for their ‘soft opening’, I would have never known that they were opening within this week. It was Monday night, and errands for the day were completed, and I had no reason to decline the offer to go out and check it out. Considering that I’ve never been to NSG even before they demolished the old building, I was excited to see what all has been done.
Approaching the building on Blanding, the first thing I noticed was that the way the parking lot was set up was a little odd. There is parking surrounding the entire venue, but it’s still somewhat cramped. It doesn’t appear that the lot is completely finished in terms of construction, but there is definitely room for improvement if that is the case.
My friend and I stepped inside to the front desk, where the asked for the cover charge ($5 each I think? I’m never good with remembering this part of my visits) from the both of us. He then handed the both of us two tickets that was picked up by whatever local Office Depot they went to. When we asked what the tickets were for, the man simply replied “Just to be official” in a joking manner. We brushed it off, put them in a safe place, and went on inside.
