My lucky day

I'm a very infrequent patron of clubs and when I go I splurge. This was my first visit to Detroit and I read up on PHC so I was already resigned to an expensive night. I also was prepared to hang around a long time to catch time with any stunners I could. I've had my fair share of losing out to whales or just plain being blown off. My game plan was to watch the whole lineup one time through from the safety of my booth, then start courting any targets with stage tips. And shoo away all drive by's as a matter of policy - I need to see them dance to know if I want to spend time with them.

With that as the backdrop, I had just about a perfect time. Got there late afternoon, the first few dancers were decent (7's) but not my type. Then Melissa got on stage. Objectively probably a 7 or 8, but something about her set my heart aflutter. In the meantime I fought off a couple drive by's - one hung around and wasn't taking the hint, but no big deal. Made eye contact a couple times with Melissa and she stopped by. Chatted for awhile (very nice woman, not pushy but also not very flirtatious) and did a set of three dances.
