We hit up Penthouse Club (PHC) on both Monday and Tuesday nights. This place probably had the most traditionally attractive women of all clubs in the greater Detroit area. Younger, thinner, blonder, surgically enhanced, etc. PHC was well lit and bathrooms well maintained. The bathroom troll seemed bored out of his mind and barely looked up from his phone to make sure that he actually squirted the soap onto my hand.

There is a second bar upstairs and plenty of VIP booths with red curtains which girls will use junk food chip clips to secure the sides. I should note that all clubs we visited with a second floor also had elevators. This is more than just cursory adherence to ADA laws. I actually witnessed the staff helping out wheelchair bound individuals get seated around the stage and then help them into the VIP later in the night. Even if the legs don't work, the equipment surely did! It gave me great joy to know that such services are being utilized by the wide range of people in our population.

The odd thing was, even with the higher level talent and posh decor, PHC girls did not seem that into making money. Stage rotations consisted of lackadaisically pacing around the pole and half-hearted twerking in the middle of the stage. Dancers would shift towards the edge of the stage to accept a tip but did not seem to want to come by after their rotation to follow up. The locals explained to me that most girls had their regulars each night. They would either kill time waiting for their regulars, or kill time after their regulars left. There seemed to be little interest in approaching an unknown variable and attempting to hustle the new money. Most were content with waiting till shift end.
