Quick stop at the body shop
I stopped at the Body Shop on my way from the airport to where I was staying in San Diego, just to check in and see how it looked compared to the last time I was there a few years ago. Not much has changed - the lighting seemed a little different, and soda was $6 instead of $5, but it was still the same basic setup.
Parking is still not something the club really provides, but there's places to park on the streets around the club, and you can take a risk parking in lots of other businesses at night when they're closed. Entry is still $10 (which gets you a lifetime membership card) + 2 drinks when you get in, and the waitress will give you a wristband proving you've gotten them. Girls this night were pretty mixed, but generally thin and attractive; no real standouts, either good or bad.
It was kind of a slow night - maybe 5 girls working, maybe 5 guys in the club. I sat down and was approached by the AA girl who was on stage when I walked in while she was doing her rounds collecting tips. She was plenty cute enough, so we went back to one of the little booths. Dances are $20/song, but contact typically costs extra here - my dancer said more tips = more contact, but didn't actually specify what level of contact was provided for what dollar amount, which other dancers have done previously. I ended up getting two songs and tipping $20, since we did some grinding and I had some 2-way contact. The girl had just picked me up with a "wannadance" line, but ended up being quite pleasant to talk to. Unfortunately, I had to run.
