Nearly the Worst End to an Attempted Solicitation Ever...

Didn’t get out of the parking lot. Door was locked, but the club possibly was open? This location is a tiny shack right off the main road. Up until this point the smallest club I’d seen was Hot Seat in Portsmouth, VA. This place was even smaller and looked like it could have been a tiny video store or something else random before it became a club. No defined parking spaces in a crappy potholed lot.

This was a daylight visit, but still didn’t seem exactly safe. Rough looking characters wandering up and down the road. A car was pulling away from the place as I drove up, so it looked like it could possibly be open. Didn’t see anyone actually walk in a door, though. I got out to try the door and it didn’t budge, and the neon OPEN sign was off. This was a Saturday afternoon, but several of the clubs around town were not opening until 8pm so it could be the TUSCL-listed hours are wrong.

As I got back into the car, in the time it took to look at directions and start the ignition another car had pulled in directly behind me and blocked the back of the car I was driving. Since it was a shitty little unmarked lot (and the car I was in had a steering wheel), I just rolled into reverse at an angle where I could clear the offending vehicle and point the front end of my car at the driver side door that was opening.
