I have it on good authority that this is the better of the two Paper Moons in Richmond. It seems like I caught both on an off night, since my experience was the opposite.

$12 cover on a Saturday night. Audrey the waitress was the hottest thing in the house. She should be a dancer. You regulars need to get on convincing her to drop the clothes and get our dollars. The girls actually dancing were sixes. The bouncer said things were slow on my way in but were going to pick up. Should have just taken that as a sign not to go in. Club was still more than willing to charge full price for a lackluster product. No minimum drinks and that wasn't too bad. TVs in the corners. DJ booth in the back corner by the bar. Runway stage in the middle of the club. 3 poles.

There was Django Unchained playing against the far wall. Yep. Django Unchained. Happened to be the scene where the guys were fighting to the death in the parlor. Spent more time watching the movie than the dancers. Thought a hammer to head wasn’t a bad option given how much of a blower the club was at that moment. Proverbial hammer. Not a loser of the onscreen fight gets brained-type hammer. Yawn. One dancer was actually tipworthy and dancing hard. Just didn’t fell like to trying to break into the phalanx the regulars had set up around her by the stage.
