Porthole - Back On Track?

Visited Porthole after midnight on Saturday - parking $2 - front door cover $10. Reasonable for a weekend night. See previous reviews for layout. Entered the club around 12:30 and there was a decent crowd - fairly low thug factor. There had to be 25 dancers on shift and they were everywhere. I saw some new faces and they were 7 to 8's for the most part. Of late the quality of dancers has declined a bit - so this night was a pleasant surprise. Took dances on the floor from two separate dancers on the floor for $10. High mileage and a fun time.

Also took advantage of the 2 for $25 dances in the back room with one dancer that set no boundaries. It is amazing that this hole in the wall club consistently gets new talent - especially with the Summer slow down in business. The music was good and I thought song length was reasonable. The DJ was good with the music and not obnoxious. It was a good crowd and management presence was clear on the floor. Staff was friendly as always.

On Saturday night the club is open until 3AM (the rest of the nights open until 2AM due to city enforcement of 2AM closing law) - not like the old days when they were open until 4AM. Really had a good time though - kind of close to the old Porthole - they might just be making their way back. I will be back.
