Lackluster Sunday
Went in the Sunday night of the Fourth of July weekend. I knew it might be slow, but also thought that the holiday weekend might give it some more punch than a typical Sunday. Got in the door saw like three guys sitting at the bar watching sports highlights on the TVs and proceeded into the main room. I was the only one there. Okay, I was wrong on my theory coming in. There was no stage show going on but the rotation started after about three songs. I have to say that the light show was pretty good.
The dancers, however, were B-team material and were doing nothing to crank up the energy.
Finally a younger dancer came and sat. We had an interesting conversation to topics that bounced around like ping pong balls. She confessed she was fairly new. Her first pitch was to go to VIP. Uh, no. She finally did one table dance for me. Pretty average performance at best. I think I saw two other dancers milling about and a few other guys started filtering in. But there was no vibe that night and no knock-out dancers to keep me around. I remember coming to this place 20 years ago on a Sunday night and it was a full-on party. I'll have to try to get in on Friday or Saturday just to see if any of the past glories of this place are still alive.
