If You Like Being Ignored

This is a great club if your idea of fun is watching attractive women sitting around, checking their cellphones and not coming near you. I'm not sure if under the "Vampiness" rating, we're supposed to judge physical appearance or how much the women tried to vamp and interest us. If it's the former, they're in the 8-10 range. If the latter, it's something under a 4. I don't think I was the only customer puzzled why dancers would do their turn on stage, then immediately disappear into the back or scurry over to the fireplace area to check their messages.

I saw one I liked and what I usually do in this case is to tip a waitress to go fetch the woman whose company I crave. I couldn't do that here because the disc jockey was so overamplified and garbled, I couldn't make out the dancers' names when he said them if he said them. Also, it wasn't much easier to get a waitress than it was to get a dancer. I tried throwing out some decent tip money when I saw a dancer on stage I liked, figuring that might lure her to seek me out after she left the stage. That didn't help.

The one dancer there I knew by name was Alyssa, who I'm sure has put in more hours in City of Industry strip clubs than any other woman currently working there. She's not old at all but she's been doing this for a while and she always seems to be there, both night shift and day. She did come by to see me but she was not interested in lowering her prices. She is a stunning beauty and very friendly when being paid the extraordinary amounts she demands for her services. I had the hottest imaginable private dance with her back at the old Hawaii Theater. If she now charged what she charged then, she would have guys lined up all down Valley Boulevard to wait for her.
