sinclair's Review
This review will encompass my last three visits to Maverick’s in June. This strip club has not been reviewed in a year, so it is overdue for a fresh rundown. The club is located right next to where the old Sioux City Stockyards (now a Home Depot) used to be. The parking lot is gravel and the building appears to be made out of fabricated metal. Sincweisers are $4.50. Coca-Cola in a plastic cup is $4. As you enter, there is a bar to the left.
Three pool tables and a punching bag machine are straight ahead. There are two couches in the wall to the left of the billiard tables for lap dances. See-through curtains are the only separation from the rest of the room. However, most of the stripper action takes place in a separate room that you enter by turning left after passing the bar. In this room is a single-pole stage and nine small tables with chairs. There are three leather couches along the back wall of this room for lap dances. Similar to the two couches in the first room, there are see-through curtains separating the couches from the main room, so basically there is no privacy during lap dances.
I doubt one can procure extras here outside of hands in the pants. The club was supposedly renovated in March. There is no DJ. Dancers pick their music on an AMI jukebox. Songs cost $2 each or $5 for three songs. Dancers seemed to exclusively play jungle music. The ATM has a $6 fee per transaction.
