FIRST VISIT TO NEW LOCATION

This was my first opportunity to visit Medusa in its new location. It is on a street corner, oddly in the centre of Birmingham's gay quarter. There are other night time venues nearby which I did not explore. This was a Monday night and very quiet. The club opens at 9pm; we arrived just before 10pm and for some time were the only customers; more customers arrived around midnight but we had plenty of choice of girls for some time. You go in through a lobby (there is a cloakroom there but it was not really operating that evening).

The lobby opens straight into a large venue. The well stocked (but no draught beer) bar is on the right, the stage and pole on the left with lots of classy seating some round tables and some tucked away a bit. There are seats where, in the US, the tip rail would be; but since the stage and pole were not in use on a quiet Monday evening I do not know how busy they might get. The toilets (better than in many strip clubs) are in the far corner. The 6 or 7 girls working gradually appeared. Two were French (both white brunettes) and there were 3 black British girls - a higher ratio of black girls than in most British clubs.

There was a mix of shapes and sizes with girls ranging from 4s to 8s in my book. On this quiet night all the girls were happy to sit and chat for longish periods and there was almost no hustle. They were wearing dresses (I think lingerie appears at midnight); a couple of the dresses were very sexy. Private dances in curtained off booths at the back of the main floor are more up close than in most British clubs (but typical for Birmingham) with mileage depending on the girl. There are also more private £60 booths and an expensive (minimum £200) VIP area upstairs. I will go to Medusa again.
