I have the chance to get out to clubs in my city very few times. This was one of those times and I had already wasted an hour or more after a poor visit to another club on the (far) West Side. It was already pretty late but I was not satisfied. It had been a few years since I'd been to Rick's and wanted to see it again. Friendly doorman walked me through the $20 cover and into the club. He took me to a seat at a table close to the man stage, almost in the corner.

Lap dances happening all around me. Friendly waitress came right over. The place was better than I had remembered, good rotation on stage, some effort in dancing, light on the Eastern European girls. It was pretty crowded though and a bit loud as I had remembered. A few bottles held aloft and all lit up made there way around, PLs splurging for the night. Almost seemed a bit amateurish (speaking of the customers). You know, it's well run and therefore probably a tourist trap in it's own way, especially for the uninitiated.

It was late and I wasn't feeling it and having the sense that I should be really getting home. I passed on a few girls. Don't remember if there was much chat first. I enjoyed watching the show and the interactions of the PLs and Dancers around me. I did zone in on one dancer who seemed a bit quirky on stage, just my type. Watched her make the rounds and finally come over to me. Really good bit of chat with this NY girl. Got a couple of dances. I was too tired to try for any mileage and just let her do her thing. She hung out some more after. Hinted at VIP rooms upstairs but I didn't bite. Always way too expensive in NY. She wasn't bothered stayed with me. I agreed to a couple more dances after a bit more chat and before we both needed to call it a night.
