Should have aborted mission sooner.
Arrived approximately 2000 on a Friday, paid $12 cover IIRC. Place was pretty busy and finding a place to sit at the bar wasn't easy. Even the pool tables and surrounding space were occupied. Don't remember what soft drinks cost (I won't drink if I'm alone/driving), but it was more than the minimal amount served was worth, even in an SC.
Maybe 12-18 dancers but quality varied greatly & only spotted 2 or 3 that interested me at all. They weren't among the very few who talked to me. 1 in particular caught my eye and I tipped her while she was on what I'll generously call the "stage". When she was done, she didn't find me or thank me, just took off to the back. Watched for her but that was hard based on the layout. (The locker room or whatever it is is at the far end, away from the bar.)
Milled about after losing both my 1st and 2nd seats at the bar whenever I got up to tip or visit the head. Completely awkward in that situation. Finally got eyes on my target dancer talking to a M/F couple who seemed to be regulars. Eventually, I got tied of standing around and in a lengthy lull in the conversation between my target dancer and her friends I asked if she could spare a few minutes for a dance. "Not right now." Fine. I left having wasted way too much time and a more $ on cover + overpriced & undersized drinks than the minimal entertainment deserved.
