I had not been to Visions...

I had not been to Visions since September 2014, so I was overdue for a check-up. I arrived at 20:00 on a Friday night. Cover is $8 after 19:00 and $4 before. You are given a ticket for a free beer when you pay your cover charge, so daytime cover is essentially free and nighttime cover is realistically $4. All seating is at the bar that snakes 250 feet through the club. There is no table seating. When dancers get done performing on the pole, they walk the bar and expect tips. Usually a single dollar is sufficient to get them to move along. How many dancers are working, depends on how fast you will burn through singles. At around 22:00, it seemed a new dancer was appearing in front of me for a tip every minute or two. Playing pool or the video slot machines, might be the only place in the main room where you can avoid the tip walk. There were eight televisions playing NBA and NHL games. The staff is fairly friendly, but I did have an issue flagging down the bartender to get singles because he was caught up in a conversation with a friend.

The dancers ranged from 3’s to 7’s, on par with offerings in the French Quarter. There might have been an odd 8, but the typical dancer here seemed to be a twenty-something single mom. There were a couple older dancers from day shift that looked to be late thirties. Dancers were mostly white with a couple creoles, blacks, and Hispanics mixed in. The best looking dancers seemed to show up after 21:00. I did two $30 VIP dances with a 21 year old dancer. They were kind of mechanical and not worth the $60 I paid. The VIP rooms are fairly private, but they are rigged with cameras. There is also an area for $20 table dances, but I never heard of dancers offering these. I believe the table dances are no contact, whereas the VIP dances are “two hand touch”. The Party Rooms are $100 to the house plus whatever amount you negotiate with the dancer.
